Lomochrome Turquoise, Alien Maker

I don’t know if there is every a perfect time to use Lomochrome Turquoise since it is a film that takes a blue sky and renders is orange. The reality of Lomochrome Turquoise is that it renders just about everythingng either orange or a queasy blueish green. It is a really hard film to use on an afternoon stroll of taking candid pics of the family,

However, I thought that the local alien festival might be the perfect opportunity because some of the major drawbacks of Lomochrome Turqiuse became an advantage for me. I took it to the McMinnville alien festival in Oregon to see how it would render all of us Earthlings. I’m not going to lie, I kind of liked the results.

I think the only way to get good results with Lomo Turquoise is to blast it with as much light as possible. I shot this roll of film at 400 ISO and kept my aperture at f11. This film eats up as much light as you throw at it. It doesn’t even seem like you can overexpose it.
